Extension of the effects and confirmation term of Executive Orders 1,045 and 1,046 – New Emergency Program for Maintenance of Employment Agreements and Income
The Act of the President of the Board of the National Congress No. 41/2021 was issued on June 16th, 2021, extending the deadlines for entering into agreements setting forth proportional reduction for working hours and wages and temporary suspension of employment agreements, as well as for companies to use the exceptional procedures set forth by Executive Orders 1,045 and 1,046.
According to the aforementioned Act, the deadlines for both measures above were extended by an additional 60 (sixty) days – totaling 180 days to implement such provisions and for the Congress to ratify such Executive Orders and convert them into law.
