Andrea de Sousa Machado

Andrea de Sousa Machado’s practice covers finance, corporate and contractual matters. She has comprehensive experience in project, corporate and trade finance.

Her work includes negociation and  implementation of restructuring, refinancing transactions, mergers and acquisitions in various industries sectors of the Brazilian economy market. Among her clients are financial institutions, multilateral organizations, project sponsors and borrowers.

From 2005 to 2007 Andrea also served as Technical Prosecutor Advisor of the Court of Audit of the State of São Paulo, in the preliminary reviewing of invitations to bid as well as in the instruction and analysis of bidding process and public agreements.

Andrea also assists clients in anticorruption, compliance and investigations, advising domestic and foreign companies doing, business in Brazil, in matters of prevention, identification, monitoring and management of potential unlawful acts that may affect their activities in view of the Brazilian and foreign anticorruption laws.
