Dias Carneiro advises CAF in the corporate financing to Sanasa
We have advised CAF, a multilateral development financial institution also known as the Latin American Development Bank, in the corporate financing of up to USD 50,000,000 to Sociedade de Abastecimento de Água e Saneamento S/A-Sanasa, an open capital joint stock company having the municipality of Campinas, in the State of São Paulo, as the majority shareholder, whose corporate objectives relate to water supply (collection, supply, treatment, reservation and distribution of potable water), collection, removal and treatment of domestic sewage in the municipality of Campinas.
Dias Carneiro scope included legal due diligence, drafting, and negotiating all the financing (including CAF’s first ever cross border private sector loan agreement governed by Brazilian law) and security documents for the transaction.
The funds borrowed from CAF will support Sanasa’s liquidity needs in connection with its sanitation activities.
