Dias Carneiro makes two new partners

Latin Lawyer

Dias Carneiro Advogados has continued to add to its partnership with the promotion of two lawyers to partner, adding senior talent to its antitrust and finance practices.

The firm promoted antitrust lawyer Joyce Alves, 33, and banking and finance lawyer Paulo Leme, 36, on 5 July. The promotions take the total partner count to 14. The firm is known for its corporate, project finance and infrastructure practices.

Alves heads the antitrust practice and specialises in anticorruption and competition. She has experience helping clients negotiate agreements with authorities and conduct corporate reviews and investigations.

Leme’s experience covers contractual, corporate and financial work. He helps clients with foreign investment, infrastructure and project finance, local and cross-border financings.

Alves and Leme are not the only new partners at Dias Carneiro in 2018. In January, banking and finance lawyer Gustavo Junqueira became part of the partnership, while the firm also hired bank Brasil Plural’s GC Anna Dutra as corporate and finance partner in March.
