Vanessa Pareja Lerner has 15+ years of experience working with IP, licensing, technology, data protection and contracts in leading law firms. She has extensive experience advising start-ups and companies in a variety of legal matters in regulated and unregulated sectors.

She leads the technology and data protection practice at Dias Carneiro Advogados where she extensively advise start-ups and technology companies on different day-to-day and strategic transactions. She has assisted several national and foreign companies in the challenge of ensuring compliance with the local data protection legislation (LGPD).

In addition, she also leads the videogames and eSports practice at Dias Carneiro Advogados, where she has been closely working with major gaming companies looking to set up and scale operations in Brazil. She regularly deals with a wide variety of contracts, regulatory matters, advising on day-to-day operations and development of new games and products. She has assisted in the structuring of eSports championships and in setting-up the first eSports franchise of Brazil.
