Juan Manuel Calonge Mendez is a partner of the Tax law area at Dias Carneiro. He has extensive experience on advising international and local clients.

His practice includes direct and indirect taxes, taxation of international transactions, planning in corporate restructuring and acquisitions, capital markets and administrative tax litigation.

Juan has more than 12 years of experience in the tax law area. For 6 years he has worked for the biggest law firms of Brazil and the other 6 years in the accounting firms recognized as the Big Four.  During this time, he was one of the responsible for the Brazilian tax practice at Ernst Young London, for one year.

Currently, Juan is a panelist in Thomson Reuters tax events and a Tax Law professor at the MBA course of Fundação Getulio Vargas
