Eduardo Zilberberg is the head of the Venture Capital and Startups practice of Dias Carneiro Advogados and is also a partner in the Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Debt Restructuring and Insolvency practices. He regularly assists clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and reorganizations.

Eduardo gained significant experience during his five-year stretch working as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell and Gunderson Dettmer law firms in New York, where he focused on cross-border M&A transactions and venture capital investments in Latin America.

As the head of the Venture Capital and Startups practice, Eduardo has represented investors, venture capital funds and emerging technology companies in more than 150 equity financing rounds, as well as corporate reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. He has also participated in flagship transactions such the acquisition of Waze by Google and the initial public offering of Decolar.com.

Eduardo also has expertise in debt restructuring and insolvency, having advised creditors and debtors in landmark Brazilian restructuring cases such as Varig, Parmalat and Oi S.A He regularly advises clients in distressed M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations and asset sales in the context of in-court and out-of-court debt restructurings.

His achievements have been acknowledged by legal directories such as Latin Lawyer 250, Leaders League and Legal 500.
