Judge grants injunction to companies under judicial reorganization to suspend the interruption of electric power and gas supplies
In a decision ruled on 4/4/2020, the 2nd Civil Court of Duque de Caxias, RJ granted an injunction to two companies under judicial reorganization to suspend the order of interruption of electric power and gas supplies due to non-payment for the next 90 days.
The decision stated that the “exceptionality of the current situation” due to the pandemic, as well as “the supply of electric power and gas are essential to maintain the production source”, so that the interruption of such services would cause irreversible economic damage to the companies’ activities, which are under an specific legal treatment due to the judicial reorganization.
Up to this moment, there are no appeal filed against this decision.
